Scientists develop 'contact lens' patch to treat eye diseases

Researchers have developed a "contact lens patch" with micronedias that can be a painless and effective alternative to today's methods of treating eye diseases like glaucoma. Patients are not able to follow the prescribed treatment of current localized treatments like eye drops, which are prevented by the eye's natural defense, blinking and tears. Eye injections can be painful and carry infection risk and eye damage.
